With this deep connection to the sea in mind, OMEGA launched the Planet Ocean collection in 2005. The stylish design, water resistant to 600m, duly inherits the DNA of OMEGA's iconic diver's watches.
This GMT model has a 45.5 mm case made from silicon nitride ceramic – half the weight of the zirconia ceramic also used for the inner ring – and is complemented by the helium escape valve and bezel in sandblasted grade 5 titanium.
The dial is also sandblasted grade 5 titanium and features orange details, a date window at 3 o'clock, and black hands and indexes filled with white Super-LumiNova for bright visibility in low light.
Presented on a black and grey rubber strap with a grade 5 titanium buckle, the watch is powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8906 Ti, an ultra-light movement housed in a Naiad Lock caseback set with a sapphire crystal that is anti-reflective on both sides and marked with chromium nitride.
